The primary role of the Liturgical Decoration Committee is to create an atmosphere in the Church that enhances prayer and praise, and inspires a deeper encounter with Jesus Christ. Committee members meet at intervals throughout the year to plan for major feasts and seasons, such as Advent, Christmas, Lent, and Easter, in addition to other special occasions. They plan for the design, setup, removal and storage of the décor. The members of the committee should have an appreciation of liturgical art, the liturgical seasons, and a desire that the Church reflect the glory of God in its beauty.
