This ministry is for those who have a love for the Eucharist and a desire for others to encounter Christ through them in this ministry. Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion are lay persons who have been commissioned to distribute Holy Communion when there are not sufficient priests and deacons available. This call to serve as an EMHC is a sign and witness of faith. It is a commitment that involves training, sensitivity and dedication. To become an EMHC, you need to be age sixteen or older, a Catholic in good standing, having received the Sacraments of Initiation (Baptism, Eucharist and Confirmation).
For more information or to sign up to be a Eucharistic Minister, please contact the EM Coordinator.
