Liturgy is a special form of prayer intended for a community to gather together for prayer and worship.  There are three Liturgies in the Catholic Church: Liturgy of the Word, Liturgy of the Eucharist, and Liturgy of the Hours.  The Mass is comprised of the Liturgy of the Word and the Liturgy of the Eucharist.  As Mass is a complex spiritual event and the Church asks us for full and active participation, we need many people to help with the various liturgical functions.  The following ministries are involved with the liturgical celebrations.
